‘A King in Yellow’ was produced, shot and edited in 2021 as a part of the 1st Year MFA Program at San Francsico State University. A cosmic horror short film that follows two siblings, one a once prodigious violinist who has lost most of her hearing, and the other an overbearing older brother looking to help his sister regain her lost sense. Their foray into the world of fantastical rituals leads to a great deal of sacrifice, a harrowing exchange, and a creature eager to escape a faraway world. The film’s predominant language is American Sign Language (ASL).

The film debuted in 2022 at the Another Hole in the Head Film Festival in San Francisco, CA, and would go on to be an Official Selection of Atlanta Underground, the Phoenix Film Festival, Sacramento Midnight, Dead Northern, MidWest Weird Fest, SF Frozen Film Festival and the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival.

It was successfully fully backed on Kickstarter in early 2021 also received limited physical distribution through the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival. It is now available to watch here for free.
